The perfect wedding menu

One of the most important tasks to take upon while planning your wedding is the food. The reason why this is such a challenge is because of all the options! You can choose from a buffet to a plated dinner. It all comes down to the overall style of your big day. If you are interested in preparing the loveliest wedding menu for your reception, then let me give you some pointers on how to do it correctly.

  • Have an interactive menu – interactive food stations are an excellent choice when it comes to the wedding menu. They are created to make guests move around and socialise. It also adds a fun flair to the overall ambience. Also, any wedding photographer can make some marvellous photos from this!
  • Snack a little – if stepping out of the ordinary is your style, then you are going to love this. Have a couple of tables placed where your guests can go and have a bite of their favourite food. In this case, you will need to combine several popular foods into one table. Let’s say a cheese board, a lot of fruits and nuts, and some savoury snacks too. In this way, there is a little bit for everyone. It is a perfect way to let your guests know that there is not a standard wedding menu. They are not obligated to sit down and have a full three or five-course meal.
  • Fresh is always good – if you are planning a summer wedding, think about some fresh and light options. Add some fresh seafood or seasonal foods but make sure they are well prepared and protected from the warmer temperatures. Fruit and vegetables are always highly appreciated by guests. This is another way to incorporate an unusual yet amazing wedding menu into your special day!
  • Light food is a perfect choice – as a wedding photographer, I have noticed that food always changes the mood in a crowd. In a wedding where there is a plated dinner, the mood can oftentimes shift from bad to sleepy. I have thought about this for a while and compared those celebrations to the ones where there was a modern wedding menu. In contrast to a sit-down meal, during modern receptions, the energy was still going strong even by the end of the night, and the food? It was almost completely gone! The guests were given the liberty to take a breath from all that dancing, snack a little (not being overly full), and then go back out there and dance some more!

Every couple is different, so every wedding menu varies from one event to the next. The most important thing is to have fun and let your Copenhagen wedding photographer Bryllupsfotograf København work their magic and eternalise those moments!
